how to make toy calesa

In this activity, the target skills are the creativity and imagination, gross motor coordination, communication and socialization skills.

MATERIALS

Empty medium size baby powder container, with 2 extra caps
sharp knife or cutter
paste
masking tape
Bamboo stick

Procedure

Remove cap of powder container
With the sharp knife or cutter, cut the container and shape it to look like a calesa.
Bore a hole in the middle of each cap. put a stick between the two caps and tape this at the bottom of the calesa, below the window.
Set up cardboard seats at the back and in front of the calesa.
Decorate the edges with colorful papers.

Paper Costume

This activity will help the child develop his creativity and imagination, motor skills, and identify different community helpers

Materials

Manila Paper or newspaper
Coloring materials such as crayons or colored marker
scissors
glue

Procedure

1. Fold the manila paper in half and draw the basic costume pattern.

2. Be sure to make the curved line large enough to fit on the head.

3. Cut along the lines.

4. Draw on the paper the specific costume you want to make. (e.g doctor, fireman, teacher, etc.) Color with crayons and paint.

5. Let the paint dry completely before using the costume.

How to make coconut stilts

Procedure

Using the sandpaper, clean and smoothen the surface and edges of the coconut shells.

Using the nail, punch a small hole at the center of each coconut shell.

measure the string from the child’s foot to his/her waist and cut.

Tie one end of each string into a knot.

Insert the other end of the string in the hole of the coconut shell and pull up the knotted end.

Do the same procedure with the other coconut shell.

The child wears the stilts like thong slippers (each string placed between the first two toes of each foot.)

As he stands on the shells, let him pull the strings tightly and walk on tiptoes.

How to make a paper duck toy

You will need:

Paper plate
Scissors
Glue
Stapler
A pencil
Yellow and orange construction paper
markers
paint (yellow)
Googly eyes (optional)

Here is what you need to do:
Fold a paper plate in half. Paint it yellow and let it dry.
To make the duck tail, in an orange construction paper, trace your hands and cut it. Staple the hands near the fold on one end - these will be the tail feathers. To make your duck's head... Using yellow construction paper, cut out a circle. Then cut an elongated oval to make it as the duck bill.
Glue the bill into the circle. Staple the head to the paper plate (near the fold line and in the opposite of the tail).Using orange construction paper or, cut out the duck's feet - they should be connected by a short strip of paper. To draw each foot, start with an oval, then draw a zigzag on one end. Fold the paper where the feet meet the strip of paper. Staple each foot to the bottom of one side of the paper plate, right inside the fold line of the foot.

You now have a paper duck that will stand up.

How to make a paper fan

To make a paper fan, you will need the following materials:

Board Specialty Paper/Construction paper, 11" x 8 1/2"
Stapler
lace

Decorate both sides of a piece of the 11 x 8 1/2-inch construction paper. You can draw your favorite flower, animals or letters. Beginning at the short side, fold over and under, making 3/4 inch wide strips, down length of the paper.

Hold one end of the folded paper firmly and staple several times and on both sides. Tie a ribbon using a lace to hide the stapled area.

Now you have your paper fun!
